Take Care of Your Bicycle with a Tune-Up

My turn around time is from the same day to 24 hours.
I respect the fact that you bought your bike to enjoy it, not to be in a service center for weeks behind schedule. That is why I offer the same-day service to a 24 hour completed service time on most services.
We offer multiple levels of service.
My service menu composes a list of our service packages. Please ask or bring your bike in for a quote for these services. I provide a range of service levels, from simply cleaning and lubricating your bike's moving parts to completely disassembling and rebuilding it, depending on your particular requirements. These prices include only my labor. Many of these services require additional parts purchase that I will discuss with you before doing the work.
How do I know when it's time to service my bike?
A newly purchased bike usually runs smoothly, but as the years pass, signs of wear appear, and minor or significant defects or flaws may occur. Especially cyclists who use the bicycle as a means of transportation for daily commuting to work need a reliable bicycle.
Of course, minor issues with the bike, such as misadjusted gears or brakes, could be ignored. However, this would compromise ride comfort and, over time, could cause significant problems if left unattended. If you hear any noise other than the wind while riding, it means your bike needs attention. Some other signs are squeaky brakes, clicking or squeaking, and loose or difficult shifting.
How often should I service my bike?
Most bicycles need service every 25 hours of use. If you exercise about three hours a week, I suggest having your bike serviced at least every two months. A tune-up begins with a complete cleaning of the bike and the transmission. Service at this interval will keep you rolling smoothly and help make parts of your bike more durable.
Even my car doesn't need service that often! What's up with that?
Most parts of your car are internal, but everything on your bike may get exposed to the elements. General wear and tear and debris from roads and tracks can affect how parts of your bike function, but regular service helps keep you rolling smoothly.
Nothing is broken. Why would you need to do the service?

Servicing a bicycle is essential to ensuring everything works smoothly during a ride. More importantly, it's about making sure you can ride with confidence. Waiting until something breaks could be a lot more expensive than regular service.
When is the best time to do the service?
Winter is the ideal time for service. One uses your bike less. Delivery time is faster this season, and servicing your bike in the winter will ensure you're ready to ride when sunny spring weather arrives.

Why should you hire a professional to tune your bicycle?
Hiring a skilled mechanic to tune up your bicycle will extend the life of your bike. A bicycle expert will have the right tools and experience to efficiently tune up your bicycle to return it to like-new condition.

If you ride your bike daily or weekly, consider a tune-up service every two to six months. Look over our Service Menu for more details on tune-ups.
