Take Care of Your Bicycle with a Tune-Up
My turn around time is from the same day to 24 hours.
I respect the fact that you bought your bike to enjoy it, not to be in a service center for weeks behind schedule. That is why I offer the same-day service to a 24 hour completed service time on most services. We offer multiple levels of service.
Depending on your bike-specific needs, we offer different service levels, from cleaning and lubricating your bike's moving parts to completely taking your bike apart and rebuilding it. |
How do I know when it's time to service my bike?
If you can hear any noise other than the wind while riding, it means your bike needs attention. Some other signs are squeaky brakes, clicks or squeaks, and loose or difficult shifting. How often should I service my bike?
Most bicycles need service every 25 hours of use. So if you exercise for about three hours a week, you should have your bike serviced every two months. A tune-up begins with a complete cleaning of the bike and the transmission. Service in this interval will keep you rolling smoothly and help make parts of your bike more durable. Even my car doesn't need service that often! What's up with that?
Most parts of your car are internal, but everything on your bike may get exposed to the elements. General wear and tear and debris from roads and tracks can affect how parts of your bike function, but regular service helps keep you rolling smoothly. Nothing is broken. Why would you need to do the service?
Servicing a bicycle is an essential key to ensuring everything works gently when you go out for a ride. More importantly, it's about making sure you can ride with confidence. Waiting until something breaks could end up being a lot more expensive than regular service. When is the best time to do the service?
Winter is the perfect time for service. You probably use your bike less, delivery time is faster this season, and servicing your bike in the winter will ensure you're ready to ride when the sunny spring weather hits. |
Why should you hire a professional to tune your bicycle?
Hiring a skilled mechanic to tune up your bicycle will extend the life of your bike. A bicycle expert will have the right tools and experience thoroughly tune up your bicycle to bring it back to like-new conditions.
If you ride your bike daily or even weekly, you may want to consider a tune-up service every two to six months. Look over our Service Menu for more details on tune-ups. |
